Lock it. Get paid today.

Lock ₦500,000 for a year and it earns ₦90,000. You can have that ₦90,000 in your wallet this afternoon, or waiting with the rest next October. Same 18% either way. You choose the day it arrives.

The one choice

When would you like to be paid?

This is the bit nobody else lets you decide. The money and the rate are identical. The only question is which day the reward reaches you.

Today

Take the ₦90,000 this afternoon.

It lands in your wallet in the same second you confirm. Spend it, send it, or put it in Flexible Savings so the reward starts earning too.

At the end

Or let it all land together.

One number, one day, nothing to think about in between. Some people call this a fixed deposit, and this is ours.

Both of those are ₦500,000 at 18% for 365 days. Not a discount for waiting, not a premium for patience. The same money, on the day you pick.

What it is really for

Some money is just waiting for its date.

You know the money. It is already spoken for, the day is already in your head, and you know exactly what happens to it if it sits in a current account.

The deposit on the land

You have found it, you have agreed the date, and it is eighteen months away. Between now and then the money has nothing to do. Let it work.

The contract that finally paid

A year of chasing, and it lands in one go. You already know what happens to big money sitting in a current account where everybody can reach it.

Next year's rent, already settled

The landlord wants a full year in one envelope. Lock it on the day you get it and it grows right up to the week you hand it over.

Your exact naira

No estimates. No "up to". Just the number.

Pick an amount and a length, and you see the exact day it comes home and the exact naira it earns. The app shows you the same figures before you confirm anything, and holds them for fifteen minutes so nothing changes while you think.

Interest is your amount, times 18%, times the real days, divided by 365. That is the whole secret, and it is the same for everybody.

A small group sitting together over notebooks and a laptop, working something out.
What people usually lock

The money people lock here is usually money that was already waiting. A bonus that has not been spent, rent collected early, a sale that finally closed. It was going to sit still either way. This just means it sits still somewhere that pays.

Two real locks

Bisi took hers on day one. Emeka waited.

Bisi, and a house deposit for December 2027

A big contract paid her ₦650,000 in October. She kept ₦150,000 for the year ahead and locked ₦500,000 for twelve months, interest today.

₦90,000 was in her wallet the same second. She moved it into Flexible Savings, so the reward spent the year earning as well.

Emeka, who would rather not think about it

He locked ₦250,000 for three months with interest at the end, and then forgot about it, which was the idea.

A week before the date we told him it was coming and asked him to do nothing. On the Thursday it was in his wallet before breakfast, and he locked it again.

We will tell you the Thursday, not the month.

Thirty days means thirty days. A term in months ends on the same date, or on the last day if that month is shorter. Leap years are counted, because they are real days and they earn.

A WiseLock can end on a Sunday, and that is fine. Your wallet works every day of the year, so the money lands on the day it says.

Everything, in plain words.

Including the one that stings, which is the one we would rather you read today than in March.

One rate, every single time

18% a year on 30 days, on 12 months, on interest today and on interest at the end. No ladder, no small print, no better deal for bigger money.

Your rate is yours, whatever happens next

It is fixed the second you confirm. New locks may open at a different rate one day, and it will not touch yours.

The number you see holds for 15 minutes

Exact naira, exact date, no moving while you decide. After that we simply show you a fresh one.

From ₦50,000, and each one stands alone

Every amount you lock is its own WiseLock with its own date, so you can stagger them however suits you.

It stays locked. That is how it pays 18%

There is no early withdrawal button, and there is not one hiding anywhere. In rare cases a person reviews a release, less any interest already paid to you.

Coming back is always your decision

On the day, it lands in your wallet. Nothing rolls over by itself and Autosave never feeds a WiseLock. Each lock is one deliberate choice.

Where today's money comes from. When you take your interest upfront, Moneywise pays it from its own buffer the moment you confirm. Your locked money is never touched to pay you.

Where your money sits. Held by our licensed partner, and it comes home to your wallet on its end date.

Things people ask us.

What is WiseLock?

WiseLock lets you lock a lump sum for a set time and choose when the interest arrives. It suits a lump sum with a date, such as rent due in a year.

What does WiseLock earn?

It earns 18% a year, and the rate is fixed the moment you confirm. It never changes after that, even if our rates move later.

How much do I need, and for how long?

You need at least ₦50,000. The terms are 30 days, 3 months, 6 months or 12 months. Each payment you lock is its own WiseLock with its own end date.

What would ₦100,000 earn?

Interest is worked out as amount × rate × days ÷ 365, so the exact days depend on your start date. On ₦100,000 at 18% a year, 30 days earns ₦1,479.45 and returns ₦101,479.45, 3 months (92 days) earns ₦4,536.99 and returns ₦104,536.99, 6 months (182 days) earns ₦8,975.34 and returns ₦108,975.34, and 12 months (365 days) earns ₦18,000.00 and returns ₦118,000.00.

When do I get my interest?

You choose. With interest upfront, the interest lands in your Wallet today and your original amount comes back at the end. With interest at the end, everything arrives together on the end date. Bisi, for example, locks ₦100,000 for 12 months and takes either ₦18,000.00 today or ₦118,000.00 a year later.

Is a Fixed Deposit different?

No. A Fixed Deposit is not a separate product. It is a WiseLock with the interest paid at the end.

Can I break a WiseLock early?

Only in rare cases, such as death or a court order. If you may need the money sooner, keep it in Flexible Savings instead.

Will it ever end after my date?

Never. A WiseLock never ends after the date you gave us, and Find my plan chooses the longest term that ends before it.

What happens when it ends?

Your money comes back to the Wallet. Locking again is a fresh choice, with the rate on the day.

How long do I have to decide?

As long as you like. The quote shows the exact naira and the exact date, and nothing moves while you read it.

Can Autosave feed a WiseLock?

No, never. Autosave only feeds Flexible Savings or the December Plan.

Give your money a date, and let it get paid.
